Florida

Miya at the fruit stand in Georgia
We had a great time with SockBob early this summer, and we wrote all about it....then it somehow got deleted. So, here we go again! Thankfully SockBob was here when it was not quite so hot in Kansas.
He joined us for a 10 day trip to Florida! The drive was 22 hours long, but he didn't complain even once!  He spent the majority of the ride hanging from a hook on the wall in a bag with his head poking out. One of the highlights of our trip was when we stopped in Alabama and had some real barbeque with some of the best biscuits we have ever tasted!  When the waitress found out how far we were traveling she sent us with an extra box of biscuits for the road.
Aaron, Meagan and Isaac playing in the ocean
Another favorite stop was in Georgia at a road side fruit stand.  After a really long day we were all ready to get out of the van! We all piled out and tried our first boiled peanuts (mixed reviews),  admired the wildflowers and bought some sweet potatoes, peaches and watermelon! Yum!
We spent a day at New Smyrna beach and thankfully SockBob remembered sun screen on his back, because Alisha and Isaac didn't!

We're pretty sure that SockBob's favorite part of Disney World was Animal Kingdom. We all had a great time on the Jungle Safari, watching the Lion King and Nemo shoes and riding some great rides like Expedition Everest!
Favorites:
Aaron: He loved Tower of Terror and after that he was hooked on "the big rides!"  His favorites were Rockin' Roller Coaster, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Isaac:
Meagan: Expedition Everest, Rockin' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror
Miya: She loved the Tea Cups, "the Buzz Ride" and meeting her favorite "yellow princess" (Belle). She was also featured as Boo on the Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor.
Alisha: Holding the high score for Toy Story Adventures was definately a highlight, along with the night show in the Magic Kingdom.
Kip: He was the man when it came to getting fast passes and truly maximizing our time!  The first day at Hollywood Studios he walked/ran 26 miles!  I don't think he was planning for a third marathon this year!
We are all looking forward to hearing about your adventures with SockBob!!  We may update again soon with a story Meagan shared with him before he left, it was pretty exciting!
